19 Upper Lake is in the heart of the historic town of Battle. Our garden backs onto the grounds of Battle Abbey and the battlefield site.

By car
From London and the North
Drive south on A21 (signed Tonbridge and Hastings). At John’s Cross (soon after Hurst Green) turn right on A2100 to Battle. On entering Battle turn left at roundabout and drive down High Street and continue past Abbey into Upper Lake. 19 is on the right shortly before a mini-roundabout.

From Dover, Folkestone and Channel Tunnel
Drive west on A259(signed Hastings). At Ore on the outskirts of Hastings turn right on B2093 to St Helens and Baldslow. At Baldslow roundabout go straight ahead on A2100 to Battle. On entering Battle go straight ahead at the mini-roundabout by the Chequers pub. 19 Upper Lake is on the left shortly after the mini-roundabout.

Parking
There is no off-road parking but parking is free in all the roads around us. There are a few parking spaces opposite the house.

By train
19 Upper Lake is approximately 10 minutes walk from Battle railway station. There are trains to London (Cannon Street , Charing Cross, London Bridge and Waterloo East) two or three times an hour.
